Valerie Renard

Valerie Renard was my student in BI 301 (Anatomy and Physiology I) as well BI 330 (Myology). She is currently in the Nursing Program at Queensborough Community College.

In 2010-2011, Valerie worked on a project in which she edited DNA sequences derived from various Brown Howler Monkey individuals from different locations in the Atlantic Coastal Forest in Brazil. She built genealogical trees using the variation in bases within the sequences. The finding from her research were presented as a poster at several conferences.
